Added a channel CBS8 no longer on my TV channel lineup

Why is the Channel I added to Roku, not showing the current show that is no longer on my TV channel lineup.   It says Next Live Broadcast is in an hour?  It showed a commercial and then said Your Video Has Ended.  Is it only showing programming from a specific time to a specific time, such as only on the news hours? How do I go about finding this out?
