The AT&T TV website indicates that the AT&T TV app/channel is compatible with the Roku 3500x. But it does not appear in any search I do for available apps/channels on that device. It showed up immediately on another Roku I own (the 4620x). Is the info on the AT&T website incorrect or is there some unconventional way of adding it?

The most likely reason you cannot see The AT&T TV channel is that the channel does not support your device.

In spite of what the OP says, I don't think it's supported on the purple stick which is a very old device. It may have been in the past.
