how to install video camera on siding

Unfortunately, the brackets that come with my DB1000R video camera do not fit on my horizontal dutch lap siding.  

Will my model of camera work if I mount it sideways?

Please ensure the Wire-Free Video Doorbell is installed vertically for optimal video positioning, as changing its orientation may affect the angle of the footage captured.
