Roku outdoor camera SE motion issue

I have an outdoor camera aimed at my back yard it works for motion sensing but in some instances it is triggered but there is nothing moving in the video. I believe that the motion trigger is activated but the recording takes a while to start so something moving quickly triggers the camera but is out of the camera range when the recording starts. I also have an Arlo video doorbell when I view its video for motion the actual video starts before the moving object or person is visible. I believe the Arlo camera is recording all of the time on a cycle and when a motion is detected it backs up a few seconds to capture the entire motion event. Can Roku do something so I'm not missing events in my backyard?

Re: Roku outdoor camera SE motion issue

Hi, @nlkirchn.

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thanks for reaching us about the motion issue on your camera. We're here to help.

In this case, you may try adjusting the detection sensitivity on your camera. Go to Home > Camera > Settings > Event detection > Detection sensitivity. You may then adjust the sensitivity of your camera.

If the issue persists, please let us know.

Thanks,
