Roku cameras att internet

Our roku cameras worked FINE with metro internet, tmobile internet, but now we have ATT internet & for the life of me can not get the cameras to scan the qr code now. I remember having a ton of trouble with the other internet too but it would eventually scan. This time I've tried for hours past what I should have before trashing them.

Yes I have turned off 5 g and only ran on 2.4 or whatever. Didn't work.

Anybody running their cameras with ATT?? Anybody know what cameras WILL run off 5g and also let my roku tv download the app?

At this point I'm throwing all roku stuff away. Tvs and cameras and going with samsung or something.

Re: Roku cameras att internet

Hi, @Livgriffith239.

Greetings from the Roku Community!

We appreciate you letting us know about having an issue with having an issue with scanning the QR code. We're here to provide some steps you can try.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. If it’s daytime, have the user block any bright light and increase the brightness of their phone or tablet screen.
  2. If it’s nighttime and/or the environment is dark, have the user lower the brightness of their phone or tablet screen.
  3. Make sure there is nothing covering the QR code on the phone/tablet screen.
    • This includes small icons from notifications, pop-ups, etc.
  4. If it has been more than 5 minutes, please start the process over. The QR code is only valid for 5 minutes.
  5. Power cycle the camera.
    • Unplug the camera from the power outlet. Wait a few seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for the camera to boot up fully, then try again.

If the issue persists, please let us know.

Thanks,

Mr. Roku:

You didn't answer ALL of her question.

She's having the same problem that I'm having regarding the 5Ghź and 2.5Ghz internet speeds.

IF these floodlights will only operate on 2.5Ghz, THEN that fact should have been fully stated on Roku's website!! I would NOT have spent $200+ on these!! I thought they were going to be amazing. I've had them for 18 months, and CAN'T USE THEM!!! 🤨

Re: Roku cameras att internet

@akwyant,

Required: Wi-Fi® 2.4GHz - from https://www.roku.com/products/smart-home/cameras/roku-floodlight-camera

Why can't you use them?  I have AT&T and have used Roku cameras.  AT&T may have disabled the 2.4GHz band in your router.  If so, just enable it.  If you don't know how to do it, ask them.
