ERROR CODE 90 CONSTANTLY

Jump to solution

Camera is on constant error code 90. You give the same advice to everyone. Nothing works. It won’t even update. For being so expensive it is absolutely useless.

Hi @Gabby480,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We are happy to have you here reporting the issue with your Roku camera, which is constantly giving you error code 90. We would be more than happy to help you with this.

Error code 90 is an offline error that may be caused by a temporary drop or slowdown in the network connection. If you have frequent offline issues, continue with the troubleshooting step below to fix connectivity issues, check your connection, and check for updates.

Check your internet connection:
Open a web browser on your mobile device and visit a public website such as Roku Store. If this fails, you can try to restart your modem.

  1. Unplug the modem from the power source
  2. Wait for 10 seconds
  3. Plug it back and wait until it loads before you connect again your phone and camera to the internet.
  4. If it takes too long to load or if it still does not connect, I highly suggest you contact your internet service provider (ISP) for further troubleshooting for your modem.

Test your Wi-Fi range:
Use the following steps to check your smart home device's signal quality in the smart home app. If your device has no bars or one bar, try moving or mounting your it closer to your router.

  1. Tap Home from the navigation bar
  2. Select your device
  3. Tap Settings in the corner
  4. Select Device info
  5. Check the three bars to see the signal's quality

Check the app for updates:
Make sure the app is running the latest version by visiting your app store.

  • iOS: Open the App Store® on your iOS device and search for "Roku Smart Home mobile app", or visit the online App Store and download the latest version.
  • Android: Open the Google Play™ store on your Android device and search for "Roku Smart Home mobile app", or visit the online Google Play store and download the latest version.

Restart your Roku Indoor Camera:

  1. Unplug the USB cable from the back of your camera
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Plug the USB cable back into the power input port on your camera

For reference, you can visit our Roku Support website, on how to fix Roku Smart Home device offline issues.

Please keep us posted.
