Wireless Speakers with Non-wireless soundbar?

I have wireless speakers paired to my Roku TV, and a soundbar (*not* wireless) connected to the TV's ARC port. (There's also a wireless subwoofer paired with the TV) When I turn the TV on, I get an "these devices don't work together" error message, presumably meaning the speakers and the soundbar. But if I dismiss the message (sometimes it appears twice) the speakers, the soundbar and the subwoofer work just fine. Am I doing something wrong in the setup?
