Roku Streambar Pro Storage?

Jump to solution

I just got the Roku Sreambar pro today.  If I read correctly the builtin roku only has 512MB storage builtin.  But why only 512 compared with the others which have way more.  512 is not enough.  Can I use the usb port and a flash drive to add channels if I ever run out of space?

Hi @KJSS,

Saw your post and Congratulations on your new Roku Streambar Pro.

Please be aware that you cannot add additional storage to the Roku Streambar Pro. The USB port that is available on your Roku Streambar Pro is used to connect an external USB drive to play locally stored photo, audio, and video files.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know.

Best regards,
Mary

Hi @KJSS,

Thanks for the follow-up question.

You will see the "Can't run channel" or "Insufficient memory" error message when your Roku® streaming device is unable to download and install a channel due to full memory.

Thank you for choosing Roku. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Best regards,
Mary

Why is a “pro” item a slow piece of **bleep** and be so expensive?!? My Streambar pro cannot even load a Netflix episode unless it is the beginning of the episode. I have to go into another room to start a movie half way through. Roku you should be ashamed of yourselves. What a rip off. The insides should be essentially the intimate with speakers attatched.
