The word "message," along with a symbol that looks a lot like the up/down/left/right/ok cluster, appears at bottom right of all menu/app pages, but thankfully disappears when watChing movies or TV.

i have run through all the settings section on the roku and don't see a cause.  Of course (and thankfully), pressing any button on that cluster has normal function, and I can find no wY to access that button.  Thoughts?

Is your Roku plugged into a Sony TV? I saw the same message and it turned out to be the TV messaging some kind of end of support. TV remote cleared it.

Ah, I am sure you're right.  Yes it is a Sony.  I guess since I do virtually everything from Roku remote, I forgot there is other equipment involved.

Thanks, message is not there now - just turned it on a minute ago - but if it reappears, I'll have a broader view.
