This keeps happening to me, too. Have gone through lo-o-o-o-ong sessions to resolve. I get it only to have the problem back the next time I turn the tv on. I'm using a "simple Roku streaming stick" on a Supersonic tv.
Roku: there is clearly a lot of us with this problem. PLEASE fix it & email us if there's still more to do without having to troubleshoot it every time we turn the tv on!
This is happening to me daily. I shouldn't need to do a long "chat" each day. I've followed your instructions & am currently stuck on the "Unable to detect TV's resolution" screen with whatever "Continue with 720p" means.
My Supersonic tv is working, My "simple Roku streaming stick" is working, but once I get to the "Unable to detect TV's resolution" screen I'm totally stuck.
