Had to stop using my Roku Ultra a while because it was overheating. Funny thing is, it was working perfectly for two years, then suddenly it started overheating. Nothing changed that I can tell. I mean it's in the same location by the TV.
It would stop playing, freeze up. It would be hot to the touch!
So I was using my Amazon Fire Stick for a while.
Now the Roku Ultra is working again, not overheating. But I don't know why it overheated before or why it stopped now.
Anyone else here having this problem? And if so, what did you do to fix it?
What model and what OS version do you have on it?
I am using 2 roku ultra 4802X OSv-12.0.0 B4184-C2 with no problems
Hello @Bobo1497, it's Roku Ultra 4800X, OS version 12.0.0 build 4184-C2.
The only solution that I have in my mind now is to reset the device when it overheats and stops(clearly after it cools down)
@Bobo1497 , I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
