Roku Ultra LT with sony soundbar SA CT370 and Sony TV XBR75X850D

Jump to solution

i connect the soundbar to ARC port in Sony TV and then Roku ultra LT to the HDMI in on the sound bar.All HDCP 2.2 HDMI cables, good for ARC.

However I could only get 1080P display.

my TV HDMI setting is the enhanced format.

Anything I can do to increase display to 4K which my TV is capable of doing,I have updated my Roku and TV firmware.

Hi, @nonekeep.

Welcome!

If your Roku streaming player was not able to detect the capabilities of your TV, you may change the display type by following the steps below:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select Display Type.
  4. Select one of the available display types and press OK on your Roku remote.
  5. Your screen may go black for a few seconds while the display setting is changed.image.png
  6. When an image is shown, select Yes, I can see it, and press OK on your remote.
  7. Your screen will return to the Display type menu.
  8. A check will appear next to the new display setting.

Note: If you receive a message indicating your TV does not support a display type, you can still select the display type and try it anyway.

We would recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue. Please keep us posted.

Cheers,

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I didn't have a chance to do what you suggested.I happened to have another Roku ultra LT 4662X and I used the new one and now there is no problem and it is now at automatic 4K HDR 10 at 60fps and because some of the movies are really dark(like the terminal list) I manually set it to 4k 60fps and the pictures seemed to be brighter. However I couldn't get rid of the automatic 4K HDR10 at 60 fps even though I manually set it at a lower setting of 4k 60fps TV.

Thanks for your help
