Problem using certain channels

I had just bought a new Roku Express 4K, and after I logged on i immediately started having troubles with each of the different channels.

The first channel, YouTube, would work fine initially, but then would turn into a black screen until I pushed a button on the remote. At first I thought it was loading but it continued to do this about every 5 seconds or so for the entire time and would seemingly pause the video as well.

The next app was Tubi TV, which would start with the first few seconds of an add, but then would bring me back to the show menu like I backed out.

I thought maybe it was the Roku hardware and so I brought it back and upgraded to an Express 4K Plus. After work I plugged it int and it seemed to play YouTube well now, but this new device is still displaying the same problems on Tubi and other channels like the original one.

I have Factory Reset, re-installed, created another account, unplugged and restarted, checked for software updates, etc. and I can’t think of much else to do.

I appreciate the help!

Re: Problem using certain channels

Hi @Hunter888

Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!

We regret to hear about this issue going on, and we do appreciate the attempts at resolving it. We'd like to take a closer look into this.

In addition, could you tell us a bit more about this? How are you powering the device—directly to a wall outlet or to a TV USB port? Is this happening to all of the channels, or is this an isolated case for those specific channels?

We suggest connecting your device to an alternative network, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you're still experiencing the same issue.

Let us know more about this so that we'll be able to work further into it.

Regards,

Rey
