Newbie question about subsriptions

I'm a Roku newbie.  I noticed that there are two Taiwanese channels. They are only 69 pence a month, wow, that seems too good to be true.  One of the red flags to watch out for if you think something might be a scam is "too good to be true".

Is there a catch?  Maybe they are going start charging my card for stuff in the small print?  Or whatever?

Re: Newbie question about subsriptions

You can go to the Roku Channel store on the web:

https://channelstore.roku.com/browse

From there, you can search for and find the services and get information about the developer. I did see one named "Taiwan TV" that is US$0.99/month from "LomitosCrew", which has many country-specific apps.

Re: Newbie question about subsriptions

@Kawadadi-

I suggest you log into your Roku account at https://my.roku.com.  Under Device Settings, click on PIN/Parental control.  Set a PIN and specify that it must be entered in order to authorize any future charge against your account.
