Hello. I was trying to re-watch Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch film (Netflix) on my Roku sharp smart tv but it says “the interactive features of this film, can’t be displayed on this device… try on a newer device or smart tv.”
I thought I watched it previously on the same tv but maybe not. Also, with software updates, how could my smart tv not be compatible? The tv is maybe 4-5 yrs old. It’s newer than the film. Any ideas? 🤓
Some features may be restricted on certain devices and the apps for Roku TVs may differ than the apps for Roku devices, it is possible that the TV's capabilities cannot handle that or the app for that TV is not capable or up to date either. I would check to see if your Netflix app is up to date as well as the Roku OS for your TV. What version of OS is on the TV?
Thanks for responding! It says my current software vs: 14.5.4.
Another strange thing is that I tried to access the movie on my iPhone and cannot even access the search feature in Netflix app. Makes me think the apps on these 2 devices are outdated. Going to delete and reinstall.
While replying to you, I checked the tv in my living room and the film will play!! So at least there’s that option if all else fails. Thanks again! 😊
Update: I removed and reinstalled app on Roku tv and iPhone, after confirming both were up to date, no change in either.
But, my non Roku tv in my living room allows for the interactive feature, so I’ll watch it there. 🙂 Thanks again.
Netflix may be able to provide more of a definitive answer as to why it will no longer work on the Rokutv and your phone.

Just type in something in the search box and a couple of options for calling or chat should appear.
However, as you said, probably just easier to watch it on the tv that is still working with the program.
