How can I stream Amazon Prime Video on Roku Ultra?

Hello,

I have a Roku Ultra (some 5 yrs old) and want to stream Prime Videos.

How can I do this?

On Laptop and other streaming devices it works without issues, but I do not know how to use Roku Ultra with Prime Video.

You install the Prime Video app/channel, log into your Prime account with your Prime credentials, and watch whatever you want to with the plan you have. The Prime Video app is compatible with all versions of the Roku Ultra.

Have you added the channel/app?  Are you getting an error message?

If you're in the US, you can add the channel from this page:

Banned but back. Because why not?

Re: How can I stream Amazon Prime Video on Roku Ultra?

I try to add the channel, on the Roku Ultra it is not listed, here on the website the "Add app" button is disabled. How come this? In my country Amazon Prime is available without issues. Why does Roku not support it?

On the website I can not even find the channel store anymore. I am getting to it only via your URL.

Roku is the strangest device I ever saw 🙂

It sounds easy as you write it 🙂
But exactly this is not working. Ant support from Roku is not replying, even tried to send them an email.

@Joysn

What country are you in?  Roku is not currently supported in all countries/region.   So many apps are restricted due to it not being supported there yet.

Hi @Joysn,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you are having trouble adding the Prime Video app to your Roku Ultra. No worries, help is here.

Please note that Roku is a US-based company. Could you please tell us which country you are currently located in?

We look forward to your response.

Best,

Re: How can I stream Amazon Prime Video on Roku Ultra?

@Joysn even if Prime Video is available in your country (and you really need to tell us what country that is) it doesn't mean that Amazon has made it available on Roku devices. Only Amazon can control that availability. Roku cannot override the settings the app provider configures.

I am located in Austria. Why is that a matter to the Roku player, when Amazon Prime is available here?

Roku might be a US product, but Amazon Prime is available here in Austria.
