Is there a way to find the new content available rather than having to look through everything available?

You can try using two web sites, which also have phone/tablet apps: Reelgood and Justwatch.

For series or upcoming series, you can put them in watch lists and it lists when episodes or movies become available. I use both because they tend to have weakness/strengths of their own.
