Can anyone tell me why the home screen has changed and icons specifically. Thanks.
Hi, @annakarenina
Thanks for reaching out.
I understand that you've noticed changes on your Home screen background and icons, and I'd like to take a closer look at this.
Can you send us a photo referring to the changes? Also, did this occur after the update?
Let us know.
Thanks,
Roku Community Team
What update are you referring to?
@annakarenina Hi Anna!
We recently rolled out a new OS update to most Roku players and are keeping an eye out for any issues that may pop up.
Could you post a photo of your home screen showing the issue you're experiencing? Also, let us know your software version (found under Home > Settings > System > About).
Thanks so much!

I see that there was a new release applied to my Roku TV (from version 14.1.4 build 7709 to version 14.5.4 build 5944). To see the version number select "Home->Settings->System->Software update".
When a new release is installed, sometimes they update your home screen and/or install certain apps. The home screen can also be automatically updated with seasonal or sponsored themes at various times of the year. To simplify things and prevent automatic updates to your home screen, explore the following menus.
=> "Home->Settings->Theme"
Try turning off the "Seasonal wallpapers", "Sponsored wallpapers", and/or "Wallpaper animations"
=> "Home->Settings->Home screen"
Try hiding items such as "Recommendation rows", "Feature free", "What to Watch", etc.
