I don't seem to be able to reply to the older post with this subject, so I'll ask here.
Has this issue ever been fixed?
We use YouTubeTV only for live content, but would love to switch to Hulu LiveTV because generally it is much better behaved, correctly understanding what the buttons on the remote are supposed to do. We tried it a year or so back and had to give it up because of the issue with the Roku app. As described in the earlier thread, the issue is that when one watches "live" programming, but pauses the restarts so you are now watching it with a delay. When you come to a commercial before your catch up with the live programming, you cannot skip the commercial, like you can on YouTubeTV. This is totally untenable to us, so we are forced to stay on YouTube TV until it's fixed. Others report this issue does not appear when watching on devices other than Roku, so it doesn't seem to be an actual policy of Hulu, but more like a bug in the app.
Hulu customer support cannot even understand the issue in order to answer whether it has been fixed. Does anyone know?
