When trying to open the USA or SYFY app on my roku device it goes to a black screen saying sorry we are having trouble. Error code: cloudpatherrornoconfiguration. This issue started last week. I have removed the apps, system restart the roku, and then added the apps back and I still get the same error. I have updated the roku software and system restart. I have updated the USA and SYFY apps. I even disconnected the network(internet) from the roku and added the network back in. That didn't work either. How can I fix this?
Not any real help, but I just did a check, and had no problems with SyFy starting up, so it's not a wide problem.
Cloudpath is an access authorization system used by The NBC/Universal family of channels, and possibly others. Cloudpath errors usually deal with channels that require authentication to a TV provider account and use the Cloudpath service to manage this authentication.
One thing that some have reported fixes this is going into the channel on your Roku, logging/signing out, then logging/signing back in again and re-authenticating with your TV provider credentials. If this fixes the problem for that channel it typically fixes it for all channels in that family that use Cloudpath authentication.
