My Roku TV was bought for me in the US and shipped to the Caribbean about a year ago. I was able to watch content on it just fine up until a week ago. Whenever I try to watch anything, it tells me "Not available in my country". What has changed all of the sudden? I can't watch ANYTHING.
More and more providers are cracking down on people trying to use their services in unsupported regions. Since Roku isn't supported in the Caribbean, you're kind of on your own. Some things (like Netflix, I believe) will work anywhere, but a lot will not. Users find workarounds and the providers plug the holes when they find them.
We’re upgrading Roku Community to bring you a faster, more mobile-friendly experience. You may notice limited functionality or read-only access during this time. Read more here.
Planned Downtime:
Community will be unavailable for up to 24–48 hours during the upgrade window during the week of May 19th and you may notice reduced functionality.
