Ambient light is too low

My problem WAS that the volume would quit...at first for the first year, I changed out the batteries (batteries showed they were still good though) then the 2nd year I started getting very annoyed w/the problem.....kept sending ROKU notices and finally after 2.5 years they sent me a new remote and I've not had another problem since....they sent it about 9/10 months ago..

Now my problem and I do not know how to fix it and can not find 'easy fix directions@ ROKU" the dark part of a scene is so dark I can not even figure out what the heck is happening....starting happening about 2/3 months ago.  HELP! 🙂
