relink a roku device

I  thought if I un-linked a roku  I would just be able to re-link it.  I have more than one roku and  was trying to change the names and location in the link list and was hoping they would match with the list in the roku  mobile app.  Anyway, I ended unlinking and now do not see a way to relink.  The device seems to work eventhouh  if I go to the website it is not showing up on my link list.
What is the effect of it not being linked?   Does it need to be re-linked, if so how?
I was already having the issue with the volume and power buttons (I posted about in aother post) before I unlinked.

Re: relink a roku device

How did you unlink it? From https://my.roku.com/ at the bottom?

If so, just above that section is “Link A Device”

What happens when you click that? You may need to reboot your Roku to get it to prompt you.

Yes , that is where I unlinked it.  If I click  the link a device it wants a link code.
WHen you say reboot,do you mean unplug and replug or do you mean do the reset?

Re: relink a roku device

Right.

Reboot the Roku. If it’s not link, it should prompt you to link and provide a code.

Re: relink a roku device

You can unplug it. Or you can use the menu to reboot.

Unplugging seemed to work.  Have another one to try it on, but hopefully it will work on.
Thanks
