Yep, that was not Roku support that called you. We can't say how they had access to your user account, or if as suggested your TV was linked to a different account than you thought when you first set it up.

First, make sure you can log into your Roku user account (https://my.roku.com). If you can, change the password immediately. If you can't, create a new user account. Then perform a factory reset on the TV and link it to your correct account. This never requires a phone call to anyone. Some scammers tricked users that used to older method to link the device to the account (entering a code on a web site) and they actually took control of the user account. If it wants you to enter a code on the user web site, make absolutely certain you go to the legitimate site (https://my.roku.com/link)

I believe this is a scam and I am getting NO response from Roku.  This is unacceptable

Did you call someone to set up your TV?  That's a scam.  Not only do they charge you for something free, but they hook your Roku to an account of their creation so they can bilk you again later. Try a factory reset and see if you can attach it to an account of your own.

Thanks for responding.  It wasn't initial set up, I've had my account for 2 years.  I received a call from someone who identified themselves as Roku Support.  I also received and email stating that I needed to reconfigure my services or my account would be disabled.  I thought it was a scam but got home yesterday and it has been disabled.

How was it set up initially?  ie: if you call someone and he puts it on his account, then he has control of it forever and can come back for more money/scamming whenever he wishes.

Have you logged into your Roku account recently?  Also, if you go to: settings->system->about  on your Roku, make sure the email address there matches your Roku account.

By the way, I just logged into my Roku account to check - and I don't see any place to enter a phone number.  So someone calling you is not likely to be Roku.
