I have linked my email to my device on the Roku stick + but when I connect to it on the app and use the email to sign-in it tells me the email is wrong for the device.

Can you please clarify what you are trying to do? What are you trying to sign into using the app? Please be aware that the email for your Roku account may not be the same as the email used to sign into your channels and subscriptions.
