Re: Activation fee?

Jump to solution

I recently was told I had to pay 79.99 for activation of a new Roku tv as well from a CT number . When i disputed the charge on PayPal after I thought it seemed fishy, was told he would upgrade me to a lifetime membership. Can you help or give me further info?

@Rskaubler

Thanks for the note.

Please be aware that Roku does not charge an activation fee or charge for support.

For more information visit our Support pages here: Will I be charged for customer service, device activation, or creating a Roku account?

Thanks,

How were you told to call Roku? What was the phone number?

We tried contacting your support for Roku Activation Code (DO NOT GO HERE) as we had some issues, but had to wait a long time.  As i was surfing through internet, these guys did charged but i was told before only so i was aware of that and was charged $49. All Okay. I was later told about https://www.roku.com/about/contact to visit

If you paid them money, you were conned. that is not a Roku support site. They are scammers. Immediately contest the charge with your bank card, and change your Roku account password. If they have access to your Roku account, you may need to create a new one.

Because Google makes money from these websites paying to have their search result placed first.
