changing payment method for HBO

I am trying to change from google play to ATT for HBO payment. On my TV under accounts google play is still showing up even tho it shows ATT on line. I've tried  updating/resetting ROkU, deleted and reinstalled the HBO app, deleted payment on google play to no avail. I Have a 3930X ROKU express. The frustrating thing is that I can get HBO on other devices with no problem just not my TV Please help!

Are you using Roku billing for HBO? If so, go to https://my.roku.com/account/subscriptions and unsubscribe.

Any time you bill though a service, whether Roku, ATT TV, Amazon Prime Video, or any service other than HBO, you can only watch HBO in that context. For example, billing through Roku means you can only watch on a Roku on your Roku account. Billing through AT&T TV means you can only watch HBO though AT&T TV app.

If you want to watch HBO on any device or without being tied to a particular service, subscribe directly to HBO. Or, more likely, HBO Max. Then, use the HBO Max app on whatever device you want.
