I have a Roku 2XS mdl: 3100x I have been using many years.
I have now added a streambar mdl:9102R sn:YL00A8199491.
I want to LINK it to my old Roku account.
The streambar is connected to the base TV.
My Roku 2XS is connected to a second TV.
When I try to activate the streambar, it won't accept my old e-mail address.
message is: "the Email you provided isn't working"
(I just used THIS address to reply to customersupport@roku.com)
Is there a way to do this without making a NEW user?
How do I get to the screen for linking?

Hi,
Could I ask if you were able to solve your problem? I have the exact same issue and I can't find a way, or any info, on how to link my Streambar to my account...
Thanks!

Thank you for your answer.
However, I was able to solve my problem by myself. Apparently, the streambar was already linked to another account (so, it would seem that I bought a used product... :-/)
I restored the factory settings and was able to link it to my account.
Thanks!
This error is happening AGAIN 02/15/22
"the Email you provided isn't working"
Why?
What EXACT address is your system sending to that "doesn't work"
Both below addresses are from VFEmail.net
DWMills gets error, Woodstock doesn't

Someone from Roku please help
Hi @geardoc47,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
Can you please provide the serial number/device ID on your Roku device that you are trying to link your Roku account?
I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Best regards,
Mary
I sent THIS msg to your server using "DWMills@vfemail.net"
I received back a MAILER-DAEMON@smtp152.vfemail.net
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at smtp152.vfemail.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
<community@roku.com>:
TLS connect failed: error:14094410:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert handshake failure; connected to 209.222.82.253.
PLEASE Why is this error at your server?
Is this why my DWMills@vfemail.net isn't connecting??
Greg
I have (2) units I want to link to the "DWMills@vfemail.net" account.
Neither are linked to "DWMills@vfemail.net" address.
Both are currently linked to "woodstock47@clovermail.net" now.
I want both linked to "DWMills@vfemail.net"
I want ONLY (1) account, "DWMills@vfemail.net".
Thanks, Elizabeth & Greg

So this is a little confusing, but... I think DWMills and geardoc47 are the same person? I'm not 100% sure why you emailed community@roku.com, but I sent an email to that address 10 minutes ago and have not received any bounce/error message. (I'm not expecting a response from there and I assume you're not either. It looks like an address used by this web forum for sending emails and probably nothing else.)
Anyway, I'm just letting you know that I can email that address from here.
I do vaguely recall that years ago my webhost said they were removing support older TLS protocols due to a known security hole and anyone who used specified (older) software would have to replace/update - I wonder if this is related.
Then again, this thread says there was an outage yesterday so maybe that affected you? (Edited to add that that thread says it only effect gmail - so maybe not.)

Did you actually receive my msg??
