I have two accounts with the same password but different email addresses. The old email address is no longer reliable and I would like to use the email address that I currently use. When I tried to change the old email address to the new one it wouldn't let me use the reliable one since it said it was already in use. How can I merge the two accounts?
@ronse, once you factory reset the device, it's like starting all over again. You'll have to link it to an existing Roku account or create a new one. If you already have two Roku accounts, you can link it to either one. I'd suggest closing the account you don't want to use anymore, but keep in mind that things like purchases, apps installed, and subscriptions (paid through Roku) are tied to the Roku account. The installed apps aren't important since you can always install them again, but If that account with the unreliable email address has purchases or subscriptions, you may want to think twice. Either way, it sounds like you have two Roku accounts and you only want/need one. If the account with the "good" email address isn't really needed, close it and then you should be able to change the email address on the other account since that email will no longer be in use. You wouldn't have to factory reset anything that way.

If you mean you have 2 different Roku devices with different accounts, you could reset the device with the old email account and then add that device to your current Roku account with your current email. If you have paid subscriptions on the old email account, you would need to update those subscriptions individually.
How do you reset the device? Do you mean the remote or what?
If you search on the Roku support page for resetting Roku devices, you can find the instructions about how to factory reset your Roku device. You didn't specify, but I presume you have two Roku streaming devices or Roku TV's. If you have them linked to separate accounts, then you will need to setup the one device on the old email account like it is a new device. You can then go into your new account and add that device to the account with the new email. If you have subscriptions specific to the old email account, then you will need to change those subscriptions individually to the new email account.
does this correct the message that the email address is already in use?
