Why don’t I get an email that my subscription is about to be renewed?

Why am I not notified that my subscription was going to be renewed? EVERY SINGLE COMPANY IVE EVER HAD A SUBSCRIPTION FOR DOES THIS. Why doesn’t roku. They slap you with a surprise $100 charge. Why? I didn’t even get an email saying hey we stole $100 from your account. BTW. Wow was I the **bleep**. I had to notice it on my own. Then when I cancel 3 days after  it renewed it said hey, your subscription is cancelled so that’s great but no refund for you idiot. We keep your money. Thanks,  Thanks bunches.

For these issues, it may be more effective for you to get help from our billing team. Please contact them directly at https://support.roku.com/contactus. Choose the option from the drop-down menu for "Questions about my account or billing," and you'll be able to send an email request there.

Every streaming subscription with which I am familiar, either through a third party like Roku or directly with the channel, is nonrefundable. You are pre-paying for a specified subscription period and it auto renews when that period runs out. When you cancel the subscription it prevents the auto-renewal but the subscription stays in force until the balance of the pre-paid period expires.

These conditions are explained on screen and must be accepted when subscribing (you know, all that stuff you don't bother to read at the time).
