When you have to pay for return shipping is a money back guarantee really a money back guarantee? Perhaps they should call it a 30 day rental. I purchased 2 new remote voice pro and not happy with them so I return and to my dissatisfaction I find out I have to pay for the return. Too bad I bought them from roku and not Amazon!
I Basically will never again buy anything directly from Roku! I am sure it’s put in the fine print on returns that you pay! You know how many things I refused in the past to buy with so called money back guarantee because the cost of returns is more than the cost of the item! Hence it’s a BS policy!
I always buy from Amazon or a local store (Walmart, Best Buy, etc) for accessories if I can, simply to get it faster. I only buy from Roku directly if that's the only way.
My extra Roku remotes are awesome. It's too bad you didn't like yours.

What I didn’t like is the time it takes for the remote to hear the Hey Roku and actually do the commands is too long

and if they had wireless charging I would like it better (Or perhaps a docking station)Also you do know any device with a rechargeable battery has a limited life especially if you use it allot!

I've not used the new Voice Remote Pro devices. I've used the Voice Remotes and the Enhanced Voice Remotes, but I've never found any voice interface worth a darn: Siri, Alexa, Google, Roku, none of them.

The customer paying for return shipping is pretty common. And as much as I prefer a full-time retailer, I believe even Target and Costco won't reimburse you for gas and auto depreciation for the return trip to the store.
I just googled around for return policies and found this on ebay's site: " Who pays for return shipping? It depends on the reason for the return and the seller's return policy. In most cases, sellers designate that the buyer will pay for return shipping and any restocking fees if specified in their return policy. Some sellers offer free return shipping."
And I found this on Roku's site: "When returning a product to Roku, it is your responsibility to pay for return shipping with the notable exception of the purchase of Roku TV Wireless Speakers. If you are returning Roku TV Wireless Speakers, Roku will pay for return shipping."
Some that I found didn't specify (which implies that you pay, I think) and one stated that they would only refund the item(s) price, not their original shipping cost, or your return shipping cost. Some said to expect refund processing to be slower due to COVID.
So, Roku seems pretty "typical".
