I just got a 7 day free subscription for Roku/Acorn TV thru my GF's TV, which said she would get a email with a code so I could also view Acorn at home on my Roku TV.
Got the email, no code ... Does anyone know if we have to wait for the code after the trial ends?
Thanks!
Thanks for the inquiry.
I'm not quite sure what the inquiry is. If you have a free trial subscription to a channel, you will only have access to that free trial on Roku devices that are linked to the same Roku account. The free trial will not apply to a device on another Roku account.

I also signed up for Roku/Acorn and was wondering the same thing. How do I watch on my laptop or on one of the other Roku devices in my home. According to Danny's answer, it looks like you can't watch on another Roku device. This is all so confusing. I subscribed directly to Netflix and had no problems. I quit Netflix though because of dark programming and Cuties was the death knell. Other people are saying they have been unable to watch it through their Roku device, without paying a Roku subscription in addition to paying the Acorn subscription. Other people just got billed for both without any warning. I think probably this Roku/Acorn is no good and it is better to cancel it and subscribe directly to Acorn. I hope the handshaking on that is not messed up too.
Thanks for the post.
For your clarification, if you subscribe to Acorn through Roku, you will only be able to access Acorn on Roku devices, as long as they are on the same Roku account.
If you wish to watch a subscription channel on devices other than Roku, we would recommend that you subscribe through the channel provider directly rather than through Roku Pay.
Thanks,
Danny
So I have subscribed for over a year to (Roku) acorn tv. I have watched it on one tv in our home but we have Roku in a guest room and the guests want to watch the Roku acorn channel. It says I need to sign up for another subscription on that tv. That doesn’t make sense. What should I do? Thank you!
Thanks for the post.
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? Are you subscribed through to the Acorn TV directly, or are you subscribed through the Roku Channel? In addition, how are you accessing Acorn TV on your other Roku devices?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
