Your first step should be to dispute the charge with your bank.

I've seen a ton of these complaints posted here and I'm trying to understand how they can come about. It's hard to believe that any half-well-though-out system could generate so many bogus charges. So I've got some questions:

If you go to Settings > System > About does your account name show your correct email address?

Does your account at my.roku.com use this same email address? When you log into this account does the Boomerang subscription show when you click "Manage your subscriptions"?

What is the wording of this charge on your charge card statement? When you dispute the charge with your bank, do they trace it back to Roku or somebody else?

When you set up your Roku, were you charged a fee? Roku doesn't charge a fee. but lots of people get trapped by bogus Roku look-alike sites that charge to set you up, and in the process get your charge account information.

I have a similar issue.  One channel called PlayUSB clearly indicates a $3.99 fee for the channel. I did not install it.  On a channel named MediaBox the only option or description for the channel was ADD CHANNEL.  I clicked add channel and it came back channel install failed.  A few minutes later I received an invoice for $1.99 for the channel.  The same thing happened (right after MediaBox failed to install) I clicked on MyUSB (same thing - only description for the channel was ADD CHANNEL).  It also failed to install.  Neither one is on my channel listing.  A minute after receiving the email for the MediaBox invoice, I received another email from Roku confirming my subscription to MyUSB for $1.99 per month.  I logged onto my Roku account and saw the subscription and cancelled it.  Neither of these showed or indicated anywhere on the Roku channel list that there would be a charge for either one.  I have contacted support and it's like talking to a child.  I understand that if I install a channel that says there will be a charge or subscription I will be charged for it.  Neither of these indicated a fee or cost to add.  I can't seem to make support understand this.  Its like walking into a store, picking up a shirt, putting it back down and then finding out the store has charged you for the shirt.  I'm beginning to think that Roku has no problem with these channels ripping people off.  It's only $4.10 but no one should have to pay for something that did not install and did not say "we're going to charge you for this".  Ripoff

I had the same experience with MediaBox. Is this a legitimate channel? Can I create a roku channel then charge people $2 just to click on the button?

@Jacksonprint

Thanks for the inquiry.

We would recommend logging into your Roku account online at my.roku.com and clicking Manage Your Subscriptions to verify if you have any active subscriptions through Roku Pay.

I was charged 90 dollars from roku directly and when I searched up my account info it was for acorn tv. How is this even possible. I did not allow this nor would ever want this.
