I have been charged $16.99 twice. Ones on Dec. 18th and another one on Jan. 18th. These chargers indicated from Roku for Disney Electo. I have read some of the discussion and Roku's reply is to reflect to Disney, especially if they have a subscription to Disney.
I don't have a Disney subscription and i always question why Roku forced us to put a payment card in our account. This would not happen if we didn't put our payment card in our account. Should we want to subscribed, we will then put our card. This is gross negligence on Roku's part. Now they distance themselves and left us to resolve these charges.
I expect Roku to step up and resolve these scam for your customers. You can start by not requiring us, customers to put our payment card in our account. This is also a privacy violation to share my payment info.
Please resolve this issue
@Rgamboa, it may be too late now, but a payment method isn't required. However, they do make it a pain to bypass that step. You can always remove your payment method if you don't have any active subscriptions through Roku by logging into your account at https://my.roku.com.
Thank you. I have removed my payment method. However, with all these similar issues on this community postings, I still would like to know what's the source of these charges. No one seems to take responsibility between Roku & Disney+ on the unauthorized charges.
@Rgamboa If you didn't authorize the charges, you could always dispute them with your bank/credit card company. You might want to set up a pin as well to prevent accidental purchases. It is possible that someone has hacked your credit card information, so you might want to look into that as well.
