Subscription Cancellation Issues

Hello. I am tying to cancel a few subscriptions (Disney+ and Paramount+) I’ve tried on my Roku and it does not give me the option to cancel. I go to roku.com and it shows I don’t have any active subscriptions. I go onto the the providers websites and it says I must manage my subscriptions through roku. I’m not sure what else to do, so any insight is greatly appreciated!

thank you

Re: Subscription Cancellation Issues

@Britny-10

Thanks for the post.

If you have already logged into your Roku account and find that there are no active subscriptions through Roku, then you did not subscribe to through your Roku account, rather you've most likely subscribed through the channel provider directly and will need to contact them for further assistance regarding canceling your subscription.

Re: Subscription Cancellation Issues

I have the same issue with a subscription to Fubo TV. I'm waiting for the help of Roku support who are tracing the information of the charge on my card.

Re: Subscription Cancellation Issues

I've got one for you regarding the 99 cents promotion for the first month. On 07/13/21, I subscribed to Cinemax on the Roku channel. On 07/17/21, I subscribed to Epix, Showtime, AMC+, Starz on the Roku channel. On 08/12/21, I cancelled Cinemax with no issues. On 08/14/21, I was charged the regular rate for the remaining 4 channels and the month isn't over yet. In the welcome e-mail I received, when I subscribed to the 4 channels, this is written - Your offer: $0.99 per month for first month. Price: After offer ends, $5.99 (Epix) per month, starting on August 17, 2021. Customer service says the billing date was unified and that date became the 13th. There are 2 other people in my household and that's the reason for the different dates and channels chosen. The billing shouldn't be unified. Supposedly, a refund may occur but I doubt it. Seems fraudulent to me.
