Roku is a bunch of thieves apparently. Stealing money from my bank for services. I never agreed to pay for. All because I added my bank card. I can even use the **bleep** service. They stole my money for. Just some scam artists apparently

Please be aware that all Roku billed purchases and subscriptions can only be made through Roku player.
In addition, have you verified that you currently do not have any active subscriptions by logging into your Roku account online at my.roku.com and clicking Manage your subscriptions?
1. Go to my.roku.com on your computer or smartphone.
2. If prompted, sign in to your Roku account.
3. Click on Manage your subscriptions.
4. When the “My subscriptions” page loads, you will find all your channel subscriptions that get billed by Roku, along with the terms, status, and renewal date of each subscription. Subscriptions that were purchased directly from the service provider or otherwise purchased outside of the Roku Channel Store will not be listed here.
5. Select Unsubscribe or Renew depending on how you want to manage your subscriptions.
I would highly recommend creating a Roku PIN for your account to avoid any further unwanted purchases on your Roku account in the future. For more information about using a Roku PIN, visit our Support page here: How do I create or update the PIN for my Roku® account?

Well, SOMEBODY may be a thief and scam artist, but it is not necessarily Roku.
Scammers can call their charges anything they want so don't assume a charge that says it's from Roku really is from Roku. Dispute any false charges with your financial institution - they can trace them back to the account that actually placed them.
This is why I will be throwing my roku in the trash. thanks for the heads up
Read the response from makaiguy. I don't think Roku is responsible for his problem. Throwing your Roku in the trash will not stop a scam artist who has your credit card number. If the charge appeared to come from General Motors would you take your car to the junk yard???
If they didn't force me to give them the information in order to use a product I purchased from them in good faith that it was usable it would not happen. I used roku for years without them having my credit card number. GM does not have to have my credit card number to drive their cars. Now I buy a roku and cannot use it unless I give them sensitive information. Tell people up front you cannot used our product without giving us your credit card information.
@stinkyf, they don't make it obvious, but you can set up an account without providing a credit card and you can always remove the card at any time if you did provide it. I've pretty much never had any card on file with them other than for brief periods to get in on one of their offers.
I tried all the old methods to set up without a credit card. Non of them worked. If you know a way or a way for me to take back my credit card info without loosing my roku connection then please tell us how to do that. Otherwise you are just blowing hot air. I tried every way on found on Youtube and the internet in general. So go ahead and let us all know how you do that. Go purchase a new 3930 Roku streamer and set it up without giving out your cred card info and let us all know how you did it.
I spent hours and it simply goes to a sign in and that sign in requires a credit card. There were no other options.
It now seems the only way to get Roku out of my credit card is to cancel ROKU and find another streaming device. I am looking at onn for a replacement as soon as possible. Don't see where they insist on credit card info.

In a post that you made yesterday, you acknowledged that you can remove your credit card information from your Roku account. Then you post that the only way to get Roku out of my credit card is to cancel Roku. This is misleading to others on this site.
