ROKU for Warner Media and CBS Interactive Charges

Jump to solution

I have been billed for both of these for several months, but have not subscribed for either. Got no help from ROKU and cancelled my card to stop the charges. Now I cannot access other ROKU channels. I am SO disappointed in ROKU!

Hey @CDP1

Thanks for the post.

For account & billing concerns, it may be more effective to get help from our Billing team. You can contact them here: support.roku.com/contactus then choose 'Questions about my account or billing' on the drop-down menu. They are the best ones to help you out with that matter.

All the best,

Roku for Warner Media is apparently HBO Max.  Have you checked you subscriptions at https://my.roku.com/account/subscriptions ?

From what I've seen here Roku is not the least bit helpful if your account doesn't show any subscriptions.  One thing to double check is that the email address that shows up on your Roku device under Settings->System->About matches the email address you're using to check you subscriptions at https://my.roku.com .  More than one person has unwittingly created multiple Roku accounts.

What I don't understand is when you say, "Now I cannot access other ROKU channels.".  That doesn't make any sense.  You don't need any payment information on file to use a Roku unless you have subscriptions paid through Roku (unless you're trying free trials).  I feel like you're leaving out some information.

I am having the same issue. I’m being charged for CBS Interactive and never subscribed to it.

The "solution" to this mysterious charge is to pull up the transaction or purchase (program) but this Warner Media charge is not listed as one of my purchases. So, I am unable to address it. It is listed as a ROKU charge on my credit card ...... that is the only reference I have for this charge but it seems that many other subscribers have the same complaint. WTF?

When I looked up the $9.99 Roku charge for CBS Interactive, it was for Paramount+, which I did subscribe for but never ended up watching anything from it. I just unsubscribed from it at my.roku.com.

HBO is $14.99

I have this charge also, After ALOT is searching, I figured out this is a charge for Paramount+.  It is billed through CBS Interactive (why doesn't it just say that).  There is about 10 other subscriptions that could be billed this same way.
