Payment

I already pay for the HBO Max app, if I add payment information when setting up the account will I be charged twice?

Re: Payment

Are you referring to when you set up your Roku account?  If so, then no.  Make sure when you set up your account you add a PIN so that no purchases can be made through Roku without realizing it.  You can also remove your payment method or skip adding one when you set up your account.

Re: Payment

Yes, I am referring to when I set up my Roku account. I bought the box and I'm going through the activation and on my computer it ask for payment information. I couldn’t understand why if I’m already paying through the actual HBO max subscription.
Bot sure if it will let me skip the payment part, but will try.

Thank you.

Re: Payment

Hi @msgarvin,

Thanks for the inquiry.

You need to link a payment method to your Roku account to set up Roku Pay. Adding or changing your payment method will not result in charges to your account unless you have taken additional steps such as signing up for a subscription. You can create a PIN to prevent unauthorized users in your home from making purchases with Roku Pay.

Thanks,

Mary
