I wouldn't put too much faith in USPS tracking.
I buy my prescription drugs via mail order. Recently I had a needed shipment overdue. When I pulled up the USPS tracking number, it showed the package was received at a depot near the shipper, sent out and received at a postal hub in Atlanta, and nothing further. It needed one more hop to Augusta GA, then on to me.
When this hadn't changed after 5 days I put in an inquiry with USPS. They came back saying the package had not been received from the shipper.
It did finally show up in a few more days.
