I've been receiving emails for months claiming to be from "Roku Streaming Service Invoices" informing me my service has "expired", yet I'm currently viewing free as to not interfere with my service. A guideline is provided to choose your plan. My concern is that people are actually paying for it! The scammers have created a pretty convincing page. They provide a phone number to reach "customer service" and links to PayPal to purchase your plan. However, the failure to provide other payment options with only a PayPal link attached to a gmail.com address was suspicious. That is where they exposed themselves. I encourage Roku to find a way to alert their customers.FRAUDULENT EMAILFRAUDULENT EMAILFRAUDULENT EMAILFRAUDULENT EMAIL

@Ging4bs, you should report this to Paypal as well.  I got a fake invoice with a legitimate Paypal link once and after I reported it the account was closed.  I never got a response from Paypal, so I don't know if my report had anything to do with the account being taken down.

Got a scam email today.  Last year when I was in the hospital my wife was scammed for $250 USD to purchase a Lifetime membership. Trouble is ROKU doesn't have  a lifetime membership and doesn't take money over the web. Its being investigated now. Not sure if we can get the money back from VISA or not. We'll wait and see.

Jim

PS I think ROKU has either been hacked for their membership or this is an inside job.
