While trying to set up a new account in my name with my credentials, your program renewed my ex’s account in error!!! He does not live with me anymore. I want my own account and do not wish him to have access to the services I pay for!! I was even given the opportunity to have a free trial period. At the time I tried to set up my own account, there was a $2.99 for 2 month special running. This did not happen thru any mistake I made!

A Roku account is created/associated with an email account.
In order to create a "new" Roku account, you will need to use a different email address than you did originally.
Perform a Factory Reset on the Roku device and perform the setup/activation again with a new email address.
Alternatively, you could just change the password on your existing Roku account. Then delete/remove any Roku devices the ex has in his possession. You can do this from the online dashboard at https://www.roku.com/. (For good measure, change the password of the associated email address as well so ex cannot access that email).

There is no Roku "suspension". Roku is free to use. If you are being charged for Roku, then you are likely being scammed.
You can subscribe to different services available on your Roku (those services may charge you a monthly charge), but a Roku account is completely free and you can use your Roku for free.
