Need representative to investigate Fraud

Jump to solution

I really need help!  I don't have an account with Roku and NEVER have but my bank card is being charged -  it's a scammer or fraud.  No one in my family has my account information.  I can't seem to find any help on this.  Any advice?

Contact your bank.  Since you do not have a Roku account, Roku can not help with this

@Stacey2001

You logged in to the Roku form. That means you have a Roku account.

As @HDMIGuy mentioned, you should contact your financial institution. Keep in mind that when an entity presents a credit card charge, they include a text description. They can put whatever they want -- Roku, NASA, Queen of England, anything -- in the description. Scammers will usually not put their real name, because they don't want to be forced to give your money back. So, they put someone else's name.

If you want to communicate with @RokuDanny-R or @RokuKariza-D about it, they'll stop by and communicate with you. But I'm going to echo what @HDMIGuy said and strongly suggest you get in touch with your financial institution and report fraud. They'll begin the process of trying to find out who actually presented the charge, and should assist with a recovery process.

Contact the credit card company and have them change the number on your card so no additional charges can be made.  File a complaint with their security department.  Call one of the Credit Reporting agencies and file a fraud complaint.  Usually, the Credit Card company will take the charge off.
