Hello. I have Xfinity, but my subscription does NOT include CBSSports. My son, who does not live with me, DOES have Xfinity and CBSSports. When he comes over to my house, he would like to watch CBSSports. I would have thought that he could enter his credentials, on my TV, on my Roku, to do so.
Here is what happens when he tries...
He clicks on the CBSSports app, and is prompted to go to www.cbssports.com/roku, and enter the code that is on the screen. When he does so, the response is that the Xfinity subscription does not include CBSSports. He is not offered the chance to enter his credentials. Is there a way he can watch CBSSports when he is at my house?
Thank you!
Michael Feeny
That's really a question for Xfinity, but they know from your IP address that it's your account. I don't know how those things work, but it may be that Xfinity only allows a customer access to those services from his own home. Maybe somewhere in the fine print it says something about access when one is traveling?
Thanks for your response Renojim. Makes sense.
As a workaround, I got a 10-day free trial of Fubo, which includes CBSSports, so my son was able to watch the Villanova bball game at my house tonight! 🙂
