Why isn't there an option to subscribe to HBO Max with my AT&T account information? The only option I'm given is to pay for the subscription. I have it free but can't watch it on ROKU!
Thanks for the post.
For more information about that channel's account authentication, you'll want to contact HBO Max support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

Does AT&T provide any instructions?

As usual Roku support doesn’t give a solution but deflects.
The solution for me was to go to the HBO Max app and toggle all the way to the right. I signed out. Then start watching a program. It will ask you to pay for a subscription or sign in under a TV provider. Then enter your provider and the log in information under that provider…not Roku.
If that doesn’t work use a Chromecast stick. Their HBO MAX app was much easier to sign in. But it’s a pain managing two boxes and I did think the Roku video was much sharper and superior to the Chromecast stick.
