As the title explains; I received an email with a ticket number attached to it from someone claiming to be Roku Support. It appears to be official. However the problem is I have never contacted Roku Support for any reason. I am active on the community forum and I have never spoken to any Roku employees, at least not in a couple of years.
Sounds like a spam email, especially if you didn't contact them. Only Roku emails I have ever gotten were marketing emails.
@JWS9518 Thank you for your reply. While they went to some length to have this email appear official I do suspect it may be spam. The only emails I receive from Roku are standard account related codes or updates from this forum. I wanted to address this potential spam email in the event that it would be helpful to post any information about it.
Good idea to let people know. There seems to be a proliferation of Roku scammers in recent weeks not only with emails, but text and posters in the forum with fake links and phone numbers.
Well, I’ll keep this thread open and wait to see. It does look very official. I would hate to delete it and then something come up.
