I was charged for a subscription twice. Once through Vidgo and once through "Roku for Vidgo" how do I get a refund on the extra charge?
I don't know about refunds, but it sounds like you have subscribed to the channel in two ways. (They generally can't tell that you've done that.) So, make sure you cancel one of them or you'll get two charges again next month. If you wish to cancel a Roku sub, login to your account at roku.com.

If you can view via a Vidgo app on your Roku, you most likely are viewing via a subscription you've taken out directly with Vidgo on their website.
If you can view it on your Roku from within The Roku Channel, this would be a separate subscription you've taken out via Roku.
You may have both. One or both could be the result of a free trial subscription that you did not cancel before it turned into a paid subscription. Since the subscriptions are with two different entities, neither one may be aware of the other.
As @Strega suggests, cancel one or the other to prevent it from auto-renewing when it runs out and stop future double charges. Note that subscriptions are pre-paid, so even when canceled, you'll be able to continue viewing that subscription until the prepaid subscription period expires.
I've been doubly charged for HBO Max. My subscription with Hulu started 06/1/21 and I had HBO Max and other subscriptions. On 8/1/21 Roku wanted payments to be made with them. I didn't understand the procedure at the time so I went along with it. I didn't realize I did not have to make payments through ROKU. Now I see that Roku was charging me for HBO max and also Hulu was charging me for HBO Max. Roku states it was not aware of what subscriptions I was being charged for, so they did not recognize the double payment. HOW CONVENIENT!!!!!!!! Why have me pay through ROKU ? What was the reason for PAYMENT GOING THROUGH ROKU IF YOU "RE NOT AWARE OF WHAT THE CHARGES ENTAIL
With many apps, you can subscribe to them via Roku's payment system, and/or you can pay the content provider directly and log into the app with your credentials established with that content provider. The and/or is important. It's cheaper to go with "or", but "and" is possible and no one stops you and probably no one but you knows you have done it. It's up to you to login to each app in a way that is consistent with how you are paying them and not establish an additional payment plan.
For what it's worth, I subscribe to two channels outside of Roku and I subscribe to another via Roku. With only 3 services, I can keep track of which is which. If you can't, I recommend only using one payment system. For example, if you are already paying content providers directly, you can delete your payment method from your Roku account, which makes it much harder to get yourself signed up both ways.
