How to cancel Disney Plus subscription (accidental purchase)

Jump to solution

My kids have been browsing through roku tv and have accidentally subscribed to Disney. There's was not even a 7day free trial and subscription was for 1 year! I tried cancelling it but not until the 1 year cycle. Is there any other way to cancel this asap!?!

You can try contacting billing  https://support.roku.com/contactus/1

They may direct you to contacting Disney.

Advice a little late I know, but you may want to go to your account dashboard  https://my.roku.com/account  , navigate to PIN Preference and set up your PIN to prevent future purchases without it.

Good Luck.

Yes, it's really a good idea to set a PIN if you have kids.

Roku says subscriptions are non-refundable, so - good luck on a refund - and set that PIN!

Not just Roku.  Every paid streaming subscription I've ever seen, whether direct with the service provider or through a 3rd party like Roku/Amazon/Hulu/etc, is non-refundable.  Canceling in the middle of your subscription period, either a trial or a paid period, should prevent it from auto-renewing at the end of the subscription, but you'll continue to get full use until your current period expires.
