I want to renew my subscription to a channel I recently canceled and every time I click "Keep Subscription" it takes me to a page that says
There was an unexpected error in the website. The current page will not load. Close and re-open your browser, navigate back to the website, and try repeating your last actions. If the problem persists, please contact our support team.
I've tried switching browsers but it comes up the same. Is this a current issue for the whole site?
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience while we investigated the issue.
We believe this issue has now been resolved. We would recommend trying to access your subscriptions through your Roku account once again and keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
Danny
I keep getting the same message too.
Can't you simple subscribe through the Roku device? Many of the apps that support Roku Pay allow you to do that within the app.
You didn't say what the channel was. If you're looking to subscribe through Roku -- note that I never do, and am therefore not suggesting that you do, but I think that's what you're trying to do and I will try to help you to if that's what you want -- then you should be able to.
Or, are you trying to subscribing to a service (HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, etc) directly?

No, that's the trouble. The interesting thing is that I cancelled one of my subscriptions through "manage your subscriptions" and the website worked fine, but clicking on "keep subscription" for a previously cancelled (active through today) causes an error, and it doesn't matter what channel it is that Roku manages. Is it because the channel is still considered active?
I was trying to keep the subscription for one of the channels that had the special .99 cents per month for 2-month through the end of January 2022. I had cancelled it and then decided I wanted to keep it at least until the price change in January.
I could subscribe through the individual sites app and have it handled independently of Roku, it's just simpler to have all subscriptions handled through Roku.
I am recieving the exact same error message for my BritBox subscription through Roku. It will not let me keep the subscription since I cancelled it and it is not at a special price. I even came back a day later to try again and I still get the error message.
Same, I tried on separate days and different browsers even, but with no luck. Blueindigoskies, if it's any consolation, if you think you want to subscribe to BritBox for an entire year, through their direct app you can save about $14 a year - not much, but every bit helps nowadays. 🙂 I don't know if Roku offers any special deals outside of the .99 cent Black Friday deal.
I'm trying to subscribe to Shudder again .... I've tried through the actual site because I want to use their app to watch it through but it must be they only redirect to Roku because that's where I watch the app...
Tiffc,
I don't know much about that channel. You're not able to set up an account through Shudder.com or add the channel to your Roku device through the channel store either (separate from the Roku channel)?
AMC+ won't allow me to re subscribe. I paid yesterday and the manage my subscription section says there was an error ....well I did all the little tricks they said might help and they haven't. So now what? I dread trying to actually talk to someone I have been there done that with absolutely no help. So does anyone know if there is something going on at Roku or should I try and cancel my payment?
