My 6 year old inadvertently purchased $75 worth of gambling credits via RokuTV. After raising the issue with Roku they refused to issue a refund, saying all purchases are final and non-refundable. How is this acceptable given children are legally not permitted to gamble in the US? At minimum, there should be some kind of age verification practice in place for 18+ products and content.
I have since added a PIN to my account but am very disappointed in my experience with Roku on this matter. Will be disputing this charge with my payment provider and also discussing legal remedies.
