Anyone from Roku here?
Since talking to Humans is forbidden.
My email is dead and I need to change it.
I go to my account and put in the new email and verify it, then put in
my password to complete the process and save my new email.
But, I can't do that because my password (The one I used to get in to my account)
isn't a valid password, it only has 7 letters, and it needs at least 8.
So, I can never ever change my email or my illegal password, with my password
that is too short to ever change itself in to a real password, so it can someday
grow up and help me change my "GD" crummy "sbcglobal.net" dead email!!
Here is my new email for replies, (c.capers@twc.com) because the one Roku
won't let me change is no "bad word" good! Craig
Maybe reach out to @RokuDanny-R and see what he can do to assist. Keep your description of the issue short and to the point.

Apparently you can still log into your Roku account with your old password.
Will it let you change your password as a first step? Once you can log in with the new password then you can try to update your email address.
FWIW, my password is only 6 characters and I was able to change my email address. But that was several months ago, perhaps things have changed since then.
And another FYI, since I wondered about this myself, when you do get the email updated, it also changes the email address you use to log into your account and the email shown via Settings/System/About.
Same issue here. I can log in to myroku and I can access my account information. But I cannot change either my password or my email address. I tried just changing one without success and then the other. No good trying to change either or both at the same time.
The error when hitting Save changes is "Password must be more than 7 characters". It is highlighting my existing password as the issue. My current password is seven characters which was acceptable at the time I created it.
The email account is dead so I cannot use the Forgot Password option. Starting to think my only option is to delete my account and start over.
EDIT: I was able to change my Community email but that doesn't affect the myroku profile.
Hmm... when I look at that page it says, "Passwords must be 8 to 160 characters and can include letters, numbers, and basic symbols". Also, the error is clearly more than 7 characters. 7 is not more than 7.

Indeed. I also can read the current requirements. However password minimums used to be 7 characters (maybe less). My password has been in place for several years and was perfectly acceptable when I created it.
Well all I can say is that it appears that you need to abandon your current password if you want to update your email address.
Same issue here. Inaccessible email address unable to be updated because the Current password field in the https://my.roku.com/account/edit page applies an 8 character minimum restriction to my existing shorter password, preventing submission of the form.
There's absolutely no point having the new password criteria check applied to existing passwords!
@RokuDanny-R Is there a workaround or fix planned?
@renojimI think you misunderstand the issue. It's the account that will need to be abandoned. I want to abandon the old email and password, but cannot.
@RockEww, you're right; I didn't understand. I just tried it and there's no way to change any information on that page if you currently have a short password. The Roku web team never ceases to amaze me.
@RokuDanny-R someone at Roku needs to take a look at this.
